GoHealMe and What We Do

Updated: Jan 7

Understanding GoHealMe

We have worked throughout central Utah for many years. We are local to Sevier County. The writer of this blog was born and raised in Venice! I am a farmgirl born and raised and I love this community. We have worked for a long time to bring mental health and other services to this area and the whole of central Utah. We have utilized grants through our sister agencies for many years and are so excited to bring in the non-profit capability in our area.

The Mission of GoHealMe

At its core, GoHealMe aims to:

  • Enhance health literacy: Providing accessible information about health and wellness.

  • Foster community engagement: Encouraging individuals to participate in health-related activities.

  • Support local initiatives: Partnering with local organizations to address specific health challenges.

Success Story 1: Group Therapy and Community Garden

Community Garden and Group Therapy Program

GoHealMe is dedicated to helping our community grow. We provide mental health care for those in need. We ran a grant program for groups that involved a community garden with mental health that allowed for youth and adults in 3 counties in the center part of Utah. We created a mingling of mental health and nutrition.

Community Engagement

GoHealMe works to provide what its community needs. We are working to provide for local sports teams as well as just seeing needs and filling those needs locally. Our plans include.

  • Local Mountain Biking Team Work

  • Mental Health Care Access and Funding

  • Suicide Prevention and Awareness.

  • Access to Resources to all Underserved Communities.

Impact on the Community

Recent Food and Clothing Pantry

  • We utilized a community partner to make a food pantry and closet for coats, clothing and food for all who needed it.

  • We worked to gather donations as well as provided through internal funding.

This initiative not only provided immediate health benefits but also fostered a sense of community and support among residents.

Conclusion

GoHealMe's success stories illustrate the power of community-driven health initiatives. By empowering individuals with knowledge, resources, and support, GoHealMe is making a tangible difference in the lives of many. As we look to the future, it is clear that collective efforts can lead to significant improvements in health and well-being.

If you are inspired by these stories, consider getting involved in your community's health initiatives. Together, we can create a healthier, more empowered society.
